Fives Years Programme Degree in Civil Engineering cum laude (Roma
"La Sapienza", 1990).
Official in the Military Corps of Engineers “Genio Militare” in
1990-1991.
Visiting Scholar and then Research Assistant at the at the "National
Center for Earthquake Engineering Research NCEER" with
headquarter at SUNY at Buffalo from 1992 to 1994.
Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at SUNY at Buffalo
August 1994.
Philosophy Doctor at University of Rome “La Sapienza” February
1996.

Buffalo – Experimental studies on an actively controlled shear
type model on a shaking table (1992 –1994)
- University of L’Aquila
– Experimental and analytical studies on active control methods
for oscillation reduction in structural systems with nonlinear
behaviour due to geometry or/and fluid-structure interaction, such
as cables and cable-supported structures immersed in air or water
(1996-current)
- Researcher in
different projects, currently supported by CNR (EOLICA,1997) MURST
(Project of National interest on dynamic behaviour of structures,
1997-1999 renewed 1999-2001).
- Author of more
than 30 publications both in international journal and
international conferences;
- Member of
different associations of structural mechanics such as ACS (European
Association for Control of Structures), AIMETA (Associazione
Italiana Meccanica Teorica ed Applicata), ANIV (Associazione
Italiana Ingegneria del Vento).
